About SICTA
The Sarawak ICT Association (SICTA), formerly known as Computer Sales and Services Association Sarawak (CSSA), is Sarawak's leading ICT industry association. Established over 24 years ago in Sibu, SICTA has grown to represent nearly 200 member companies across four branches in Kuching, Sibu, Miri, and Bintulu.
SICTA's mission is to accelerate the development of a robust digital economy in Sarawak and facilitate digital transformation aligned with the state's smart initiatives. The association serves as a bridge between local businesses, foreign importers, and government agencies, fostering a healthy and competitive ICT ecosystem.
SICTA's Vision
SICTA strives to promote Sarawak's economic growth and improve quality of life through future technology development. Key focus areas include:
- Digital Infrastructure: Bridging the internet divide in rural Sarawak by working with government and telecommunications companies.
- Human Capital Development: Enhancing youth and workforce skills in AI, cybersecurity, data science, and ICT.
- Green ICT: Promoting energy-efficient practices, electronic waste management, and sustainable ICT solutions.
- Industry Representation: Liaising with government agencies, PIKOM (national ICT association), and international ICT bodies on behalf of Sarawak's ICT businesses.
